Minneapolis, Minn. – Salmela, a top recruiting firm that works with some of the world’s most creative and innovative companies, has opened a Midwest-focused office in Minneapolis. The recruiting agency works with a spectrum of media, advertising, consulting, life science, and healthcare corporations with plans to extend their talent expertise to the greater Midwest.
“We’ve had success helping identifying talent and delighting clients everywhere we’ve focused,” said Salmela Founder, Cory Salmela. “Now, more than ever, it makes sense for us to bring our unique approach to our home state.”
The Minnesota-based firm has always called Duluth home, but has primarily worked with clients in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and beyond.
Salmela has hired Lisa Breiland to drive the Twin Cities-based branch of the business.
“Lisa Breiland is a star, and we saw the same approach to talent management in her that she saw in us,” said Cory Salmela. “Bringing Lisa into the fold at Salmela adds to our ability to be innovative and broaden how we serve clients and talent, while allowing us to build new client relationships in MN and the Midwest.”
Breiland built a thriving recruiting practice at Robert Half, and most recently focused on life sciences and health innovation companies in the Twin Cities for Colliers.
“I am thrilled to be part of an established market leader and this amazing team,” said Breiland. “I intend to bring my more than 15 years of professional experience to continue Salmela’s history of excellence in the Twin Cities’ market.”
The opening of an office focused on the Midwest is further enhanced by the current Salmela team – including Megan Weizel, a Salmela Partner who has strong ties to the Twin Cities business community is excited to bring that focus to her home state.
