Meet the team.
Cory spends his day advising senior leaders on their next career move. He is happiest out on his bike, skis, or helping his two daughters rehearse their lines. He started his career as a National Team Coach for the U.S. Ski Biathlon Team, followed by a short career in pharmaceutical sales. In 2005, he founded Salmela.
Megan focuses on individual career wellness and team development for the healthcare advertising industry. Through a natural inclination for networking, and a career background in health, wellness and international corporate project management, Megan has the experience necessary to understand the needs of both individuals and teams. When not at work she's outside exploring with her family, volunteering in the community, trail running and practicing yoga.
ASSOCIATE MANAGING DIRECTOR
Kate joins Salmela after a decade of non-profit arts leadership, where she shared her passion for building community, education, inclusiveness, and arts access. Her superpower is helping professionals identify their strengths and set them on a course for greater success. Outside of work, she can be found reading Shakespeare, doing yoga, or helping the next generation of theatre stars prep for college.
Meghan brings her previous advertising agency experience to Salmela. She is a natural-born conversationalist and delights in every interaction with candidates and clients alike. Meghan can find something in common or a shared interest with just about anyone. (No really, it's AMAZING.) She is also a foodie, loves cooking, and is always looking for the next opportunity to elevate an old fashioned MN potluck.
Dana Carpenter, MD
With over a decade in both medical advertising and clinical practice experience, Dana comes to Salmela with a broad and deep knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem. With her endless enthusiasm for learning, she tackles every new challenge with aplomb. She's also a proud dog owner, happy to chat about her astounding canine companion.
DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS & RESEARCH
If Mickey isn’t already your best friend, he soon will be. He is equally adept at discussing hiring initiatives as he is musing over the subtleties of a Twin Peaks episode. During the day, you can find elbow-deep in spreadsheets and tweaking digital cogs to help keep our ship running on course. On the side, you can find him shuttling his kids between activities, volunteering, or making kick-ass chocolate chip cookies.
